This experience involves making original scent bags and 'fumikou' (Japanese perfumed insert), by combining fragrant wood and other incense ingredients that have been used in Japan for centuries.
With careful guiding from instructors, it's an easy experience that takes just forty minutes.
The bags can be placed in a bag or on clothing to create a subtle fragrance.

The museum shop on the first floor sells perfumes unique to the Oita Fragrance Museum - made from essential oils of kabosu and roses produced in Oita Prefecture, as well as perfumed soap, hand cream and a speciality perfume, 'Wings of Ice' - named after a local exhibition.
The shop also stocks a wide range of fragrance-related products, including perfumes from European and American brands, fragrance lamps and incense from Kyoto's long-established incense shops.

In the herb garden, visitors can admire about 40 varieties of herbs, which are also used to make perfume.
The natural hot spring footbath (free of charge) is a hidden healing spot available throughout the year.
The adjoining Italian café, Ca Sentbon, is also a popular place to relax and unwind.
